The main idea of the whole event is to find and group local emerging talents in music, design or anything to do with arts and emerging businesses and help to uplift them by giving exposure. Do come and support the local art scene and we are to organize this event monthly. Oh yea! We will be collecting personal belongings for charity and 10% of our profit, will proceed to selected charity organization of the month. So come! Support us to support you by supporting the art scene and the people in need. =D

Good Job man!! An early step to be the greatest Art event in Kuching! Should get more endorsement especially from big company. There’s no such way for Social Organization in Sarawak to create such event. Me Kuching people proud of you!!!

Mainstream tok more commercial,label pun besar

Genre adalah jenis/kategori music.
So if sebut band indie, biar spesific main lagu
mcm ne. Jazz,rap,metal, dan (isi tempat kosong)
adalah indie if movement dan labelnya independent.

I have a few questions…since when did there was a category for most requested band?And how would a band proclaim themselves as that?Don’t get me wrong but isn’t that a bit pathetic?it seems that exposure is certainly getting to the heads…because you ruin the good music with needless and stupid acts…and honestly it is good music but the self proclaimation has really put me off..why can’t it just be about the music…sigh..

the thing you mention there was a small deal, don’t get annoy. Try to control your emotion, it’s just a way to market local bands. Some even say ‘Yoh, band Oasis band Indie paling rugged’, but not everyone will agree. So same with the most requested band written on this post, it’s not a big deal.
Like the one written down ‘RWMF ‘07 & ‘08′, we wrote it down to buzz people who wanted to come. Wasn’t it great when we have a Rainforest Band supporting our own independent event? I hope you get it.
It’s the same to when we write down Lucille, the most requested band, probably people who wanted to come will say ‘wow, who’s Kuching most requested band?’ and sure they will come to support. Remember, it’s not a category, it’s just the way to help our own local band. Try to put yourself in my shoe-what tag line will you put to support the band that perform at your gig/event?

Again, I hope you understand. We have work hard to make this event happen, I hope no one out there get annoy because of a small stuff.
Thanks nurses, your question will make others understand too. Plus, this post will be updated soon with almost 15 bands performing and other great stuff.
no one’s annoyed..it’s just a few questions..and in no way was i trying to put down your efforts in organising the event..it’s just the choice of words that would make some people cringe actually..and the difference in the school of thought really stood out from the way the questions were answered..have a good one
