Since this blog had been published online, I never have the chance to update the about page until a friend of mine from Labuan forwarding a list of questions for me to answer. I guess, I should publish the questions in this page. I hope you like the questions from Afif Ghani. Thanks buddy, you’ve saved my life, haha :D Here are the questions:

Q: Give us a brief intro about urself.

A: Hello there, my name is Faruqi. You can call me Ukee. I’m 21 years old. I does blogging, skateboarding, chilling at the coffee shop and loving entertainment so much.

Q: Tell us more bout ilovekuching.com

A: Ilovekuching.com is just an ordinary blog. I created it on July 2008. Started with an idea of ‘online magazine’. Tho it’s call as an online magazine, I prefer to blog it in a personal way. Which is not too formal. I blog with my broken English together with Sarawak language. Trying to use the ‘REAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE’ but too bad, I prefer my original style of writing. Ilovekuching.com is a platform for me to expose the creativity of Kuching youth in music, arts or fashion. Beside that, I’m trying my best to update the upcoming events categories for the readers so there will no complaints such as ‘Kuching Boring’. Guys, Kuching sik boring, sebenarnya orang yang madah Kuching boring, adalah orang yg boring. Hahaha, kiddin. Boh kecik ati. :D So currently, a good friend of mine, Zulkamal Azman is helping me with photography and photo editing.

Q: When did you take up skateboarding?

A: I start to skate at the end of 2001. Skate for 5 years and stop for 3 years. But now I’m back with my board. Skateboarding rules!

Q: Did skateboarding influence you on life?

A: Yeah! It influence me a lot. Can’t express the feeling here. Only skateboarders knows how it feel. :)

Q: Did skateboarding also influence ilovekuching?

A: A lot.

Q: What’s up with Kuching nowadays?

A: Kuching is developing. More and more shopping complex is on it’s way to be fill with Kuching people. I remember the time when The Spring open for public. Thousands of people is in the shopping mall and you can see your friends everywhere in that building. It’s cool to see your hometown improving. It’s obviously changing dude!

Q: How bout fashion in Kuching?

A: Hmm, my comments on this topic might be quite sensitive. See, from the 90’s, the istillah ‘GAI’ is a common word for the youth here. For you who dress-up in a proper way, you might be an ordinary person in town. But try to dress something new. With extreme looking tee shirts or cutting your hair with the japanese j-rock style. Man, i tell you, everyone here will get annoyed at you. So, my comment on this topic is; just be yourself. Dress whatever fashion you want. Just don’t let me or other people call you a ‘GAI’. Haha.

Q: Your a busy man nowadays, becoming more n more popular in Kuching, how has fame serving you?

A: Dude, everyone is damn popular in Kuching. Your friend is my friend, and my friend is your friend. Kuching is a small town, everyone knows each other. Haha, can’t believe it right? Everyone is popular in Kuching. Sik cayak? Let me ask you a question; Kenal Ah Seng sik?

Q: The best products nowadays that had grace us?

A: Teh Bunga kotak besar RM 1.70 kat Choice Supermall?

Q: Any collaboration in the future?

A: Listen, I’m doing this blog for everyone who need its help. So,to anyone who need the blog help, just tell me man. I try my best to help you with it. :)

Q: Will we see ilovekuching being a magazine?

A: I’m not sure about that dude. See, I’m trying my best to deliver the best content for my readers. I even caught a stupid fighting video or an annoying bus ride video for them. The first thing I should do is; to deliver the best for you. I can see my imagination everynight that one day ilovekch will be a magazine. But for this time being, it’s not the right time for ilovekch to convert into a magazine. Sabar jak lah, Junk magazine gik da.

Q: List 5 of your best place to hang out.

A: My office desk, the chill room, the toilet and the store of the office. Dude, I’m here almost 24/7. I have no other place to hang out man. Everyday, creative youth is coming to this office. Sharing idea with me and my friends on how to improve Kuching local scene. It’s good to have this kind of people hanging around with you. Kuching people rocks!

Q: List 5 delicious food in Kuching?

A: Ayam penyet, ayam penyet, ayam penyet….yer…mala ayam penyet. Ok, let me list down for you. My number one favorite food is Mee Kolok. Then follow by Laksa Sarawak, Nasi Ayam Roasted, Ayam Penyet and burger. Sene-sene burger sitok nyaman.

Q: List 5 ways to get connected with people.

A: Facebook, Facebook, Facebook, Facebook and Facebook. Seriously, I’m connected with people tru facebook. It helps me a lot. Reduce your phone prepaid and it’s the fastest way on earth. And don’t forget to try Facebook Lite. It’s so damn cool and fast. Heh, promote ndah.

Q: List 5 best clothing line.

A: I’m not sure man. I even wear a cheap made in Indonesia Tee that I bought in Jakarta. I wear clothes that suit me. And of course it looks good. Brand is not important dude. But if you see someone that love showing off his brands and stuff, kantoi lah nya layan up, hehe.

Q: List 5 best brand:

A: Local made, local made, local made, local made and local made.

Q: Who’s suraya?hahahaha :D

A: She’s my partner in crime dude. We did everything together. It’s cool to have partner that do everything with you. So beside Zulkamal, Sueraya is the one who is always be there for the Action Time! Haha!

Q: Last word?

A: Thanks Afif for the questions. I would like to thank everyone (Zulkamal Azman, Intan Sueraya, Junk Magazine, Youth Community from Kuching, friends and family and finally you who’s reading this blog) who is involve in this long term project call ‘I LOVE KCH’. A project that will change the world perspective on us. A project that will put Kuching on the map. A project that connects every youth in Kuching. A project that one day will change Kuching…May god bless us. I love Kuching. :)
